Samer Choucair: Rising Oil Exports Through Yanbu Reinforce the Strategic Value of Energy Infrastructure Investment

Investment leader Samer Choucair said the increase in crude oil shipments through Yanbu Port reflects the operational resilience of Saudi Arabia’s energy system and its ability to adapt to geopolitical developments while maintaining reliable supplies to global markets.

Choucair explained that greater reliance on the East–West Pipeline and Yanbu Port highlights the importance of logistics infrastructure in supporting oil exports. It also confirms that investment in ports, pipelines, and storage facilities will remain a major driver of the energy sector’s long-term sustainability.

Samer Choucair noted that pressure on global supply chains reinforces the need to expand export capacity and improve the efficiency of logistics facilities, helping preserve the flexibility of Saudi oil exports and strengthening the Kingdom’s ability to respond to changes in international markets.

Choucair added that institutional investors regard energy infrastructure as one of the most important categories of strategic investment because it can provide stable cash flows and long-term growth opportunities, particularly as global energy demand continues and investment in transportation and storage projects expands.

Samer Choucair emphasized that future expansion of export and storage facilities would strengthen Saudi Arabia’s competitiveness in global energy markets and support its position as one of the world’s leading oil suppliers.

Such expansion could also create new investment opportunities across logistics, engineering, and energy-related services.

Choucair noted that Saudi Arabia continues to undertake major infrastructure investments under the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030. These investments strengthen energy security, improve supply-chain efficiency, and increase the economy’s ability to manage regional and international developments.

Concluding his remarks, Samer Choucair said investors will continue to monitor developments in energy infrastructure and policies affecting global supplies, as these factors will remain influential in long-term investment and capital-allocation decisions.
