Samer Choucair: Saudi Arabia Between Geopolitical Shifts and Vision 2030 Is Transforming Into a Global Investment Hub

When trade maps are being redrawn, supply chains disrupted, and new economic powers rising simultaneously, the question for investors isn't where to hide — it's where to position. Investment entrepreneur Samer Choucair issued a press statement affirming that Saudi Arabia is moving steadily within Vision 2030 to turn these challenges into strategic investment opportunities, cementing its position as a rising global economic hub.

He explained that the current global scene resembles "turbulent seas" where major economic powers' interests intersect and trade maps and supply chains continuously change, but the Kingdom possesses a unique strategic position between three continents, alongside financial and sovereign strength through the Public Investment Fund, giving it high capacity to turn volatility into growth opportunities.

He noted that what's happening in the global economy in 2026 — supply chain tensions, rising new economic powers, intense competition in energy and technology sectors — doesn't represent a threat as much as it forms a catalyst for reshaping economic strategies of nations capable of rapid adaptation, led by Saudi Arabia.

He affirmed that the Kingdom's strength doesn't stem only from its modern economic instruments, but from an integrated combination of cultural and value heritage on one hand, and Vision 2030 on the other, explaining that this balance gives investors confidence and stability in an investment environment characterized by rapid transformation and accelerating growth.

Choucair said that Vision 2030 represents the strategic framework guiding the economic transformation process in the Kingdom, through diversifying income sources, strengthening non-oil sectors' contribution, developing the business environment, and attracting foreign investment, making the Saudi economy more flexible and capable of facing global volatility.

In his investment opportunity analysis, he explained that the period ahead will see major growth in tourism, entertainment, and aviation sectors, with expansion in major Kingdom projects, in addition to the renewable energy and green hydrogen sector placing Saudi Arabia in an advanced global position in energy transition.

He added that mining and advanced industries represents one of the most important future growth drivers, alongside the logistics and ports sector strengthening the Kingdom's position as a global commercial hub connecting Asia, Africa, and Europe, in addition to real estate and smart cities sector growth reflecting the accelerating urban and economic transformation.

He noted that strategic partnerships with Asian economies, led by China, open broad horizons for integration in technology, manufacturing, and value chain fields, affirming that these relationships rest on the principle of shared interests, not just competition.

He affirmed that the successful investor in the current phase is one who possesses the ability to read deep shifts in the global economy, combining financial analysis with long-term strategic understanding, while focusing on sectors directly tied to Vision 2030.

He added that the investment environment in the Kingdom has become more transparent and attractive thanks to accelerating economic and regulatory reforms, making Saudi Arabia one of the most prominent rising investment destinations at both regional and global levels.

Choucair called on investors in the Kingdom and Gulf to adopt balanced investment strategies combining stable assets with high-growth opportunities, while focusing on projects tied to infrastructure, clean energy, and advanced technology, as core future growth drivers.

He stressed the importance of investing in human and knowledge capital, alongside financial capital, as two essential elements in building a sustainable economy capable of competing globally.

He concluded his press statement by affirming that Saudi Arabia is moving confidently toward the future, drawing on a clear strategic vision and ambitious leadership, and that the period ahead will see deeper international partnerships, expanding investment opportunities, and a broader shift toward a diverse, sustainable economy.

He added that whoever possesses vision and the ability to adapt to global shifts will be in a leadership position, affirming that the region's economic future is being made today through bold, considered investment decisions aligned with Vision 2030's goals.
