Samer Choucair: The AI Revolution Opens the Biggest Investment Opportunities in Digital Infrastructure

Investment entrepreneur Samer Choucair affirmed that the global expansion in artificial intelligence represents a strategic shift in the digital economy, noting that focus should be placed on investing in the infrastructure supporting this technical revolution, not on short-term volatility in stock markets. He explained that some reports circulating on social media about Alphabet selling 85 billion dollars worth of shares aren't based on an official announcement from the company, and therefore can't be relied upon as confirmed fact. In contrast, estimates issued by JPMorgan point to growing demand for artificial intelligence potentially requiring investments reaching roughly 2.1 trillion dollars in data centers and related infrastructure over the next five years, reflecting the scale of transformation the sector is experiencing. Samer Choucair said: "Artificial intelligence is no longer just an emerging technology, it has become an economic sector relying on real assets including data centers, energy, telecommunications networks, and cloud computing. These assets will be the foundation of growth in the digital economy over the coming decade." He added that investors should distinguish between media hype and actual investment opportunities, explaining that companies capable of building strong infrastructure and financing it efficiently will be best positioned to achieve sustainable returns. Saudi Arabia's Position to Benefit Choucair noted that Saudi Arabia possesses important fundamentals to benefit from this shift, thanks to government support for the data and artificial intelligence sector, and continuous investment in smart cities, digital infrastructure, and energy, within Saudi Vision 2030's targets. He added: "The Kingdom possesses an attractive investment environment, including a strategic location, advanced infrastructure, and a clear direction toward the digital economy, making it qualified to attract investments in data centers, cloud computing, and AI technologies." He concluded by affirming that investors during the period ahead should focus on sectors tied to digital infrastructure, energy, and technologies supporting artificial intelligence, while diversifying investment portfolios, following regulatory developments, and adopting a long-term investment vision, affirming that the global digital transformation represents a strategic opportunity for investors who possess a clear vision and the ability to invest in the core assets of future growt
