Samer Choucair: Digital Transformation Is Reshaping the Global Wealth Map and Vision 2030 Is at the Heart of the Opportunity

The headlines about digital asset markets focus on the numbers but investment entrepreneur Samer Choucair argues that's the wrong lens entirely. He affirmed that what's happening globally in digital asset markets shouldn't be read from the angle of the large numbers circulating in media, but understood as a structural shift in the architecture of the global economy, where wealth is gradually moving from traditional assets to the digital economy built on technology, data, and artificial intelligence. He affirmed that these shifts, whether in the United States or other major markets, reflect a broader strategic direction of redefining the concept of value creation, not just short-term speculative waves.

He added that Saudi Arabia, within Vision 2030's framework, holds an advanced position qualifying it to benefit from this global shift, through building a diverse economy relying on financial technology, data centers, artificial intelligence, and smart cities, noting that non-oil sectors' contribution to GDP has reached advanced, growing levels, reflecting the success of economic diversification policies.

Choucair sees that the genuine investment opportunity for investors in Saudi Arabia and the Gulf doesn't lie in directly chasing cryptocurrency fluctuations, but in investing in the digital infrastructure supporting this sector, such as green data centers, renewable energy projects tied to modern technologies, in addition to startups in artificial intelligence and financial technology fields, affirming that these areas represent the "deep layer" of the digital economy, and are the most sustainable over the long term.

He stressed the importance of considered investment diversification combining traditional safe assets on one hand, and assets tied to technological growth on the other, while adopting an analytical approach taking into account major economic trends, geopolitical changes, and accelerating technical developments.

Choucair concludes that the current phase represents a historic turning point in the global economy's path, and that nations succeeding in aligning their development visions with digital transformation will be most capable of creating sustainable wealth over the coming decades, affirming that the future of investment is no longer built on short-term speculation, but on a deep understanding of the technological structure reshaping the global economy from its roots.
