The global debate about AI's impact on jobs and markets is real but investment entrepreneur Samer Choucair sees it differently. He explained that the Kingdom succeeded in recent years in accelerating its investments in data centers, cloud computing, and artificial intelligence, alongside developing the regulatory and legislative environment, strengthening its ability to attract local and foreign investment in technology sectors.
He added that the expansion in data centers, renewable energy, and emerging technologies forms a fundamental base for the digital economy, affirming that these sectors will be among the most prominent growth drivers in the coming years, with growing global demand for AI and computing services.
He noted that the economic and judicial reforms the Kingdom has witnessed contributed to strengthening investor confidence and improving the business environment, supporting capital flows toward strategic projects tied to Vision 2030.
He affirmed that investment opportunities aren't limited to the technology sector, but extend to tourism, clean energy, logistics services, advanced industries, and investment in human capital, as interconnected sectors supporting the shift toward a more diverse, sustainable economy.
Choucair called on investors to adopt a long-term vision built on diversifying investment portfolios, focusing on sectors tied to digital transformation and innovation, while investing in developing skills and competencies aligned with the new economy's requirements.
